TheTaste Team’s Irish Chocolate Picks

Darina – Grá’s Lil’ Bit Salty

After receiving the Easter Egg version of this, Darina has become absolutely obsessed with Grá Chocolates’ Lil’ Bit Salty dark chocolate salted caramel chocolates. Grá’s chocolates are notorious for being absolutely gorgeous and almost too pretty to eat, but these little bites of joy are delicious and are worth every bit of guilt you feel for nibbling on the beautiful hand-crafted designs. Headed by the wonderful Gráinne Mullins, Grá Chocolates are certainly the right way to celebrate World Chocolate Day 2023.

Sara – Brownies from Braw

The much-loved Limerick-based artisan chocolatiers, Braw, not only produce some absolutely delicious chocolate, but their brownies are to die for. Anna Coffey sure knows what she’s doing – after doing the rounds as head chocolatier at Cocoa Atelier and pastry chef at Adare Manor, Anna started Braw, whose brownies have gained somewhat of a cult following. Decadence and indulgence at its finest, Sara’s choice for World Chocolate Day 2023 is a wise one, that’s for sure.

Anthony – Boozy Truffles from Clo Chocolates

French chocolatier, Clotilde Rambaud, moved to Sligo, started Clo Chocolates and, well, the rest is history! Producing some absolutely impeccable chocolates, Anthony’s choice for a little bit of a boozy World Chocolate Day 2023 is Clo’s award-winning Athru whiskey truffles. These little balls of joy sure do pack a punch, so proceed with caution – they’re dangerously delicious!
