Just in time for International Women’s Day, Finn Lough resort in Co. Fermanagh has unveiled its reimagined Lasair restaurant, helmed by an extraordinary all-female kitchen team.
Lasair (meaning ‘flame’ in Irish), has relocated to the very space where the rural retreat’s dining journey first began, and the “relaxed dining experience” is guided by Head Chef Kristin Reagon and Restaurant Manager Marion Falk.
Perched in an elevated position above the Main House – home to a library bar, wine cellar and vintage cinema – Lasair is flooded with natural light, featuring a cosy fireplace, wooden accents, and a spacious conservatory that overlooks the serene and leafy surroundings, including Finn Lough’s new spa, set to open this year.
Previously, the resort’s restaurant was housed in The Barn, a restored workshop that became a beloved dining space, known for its communal atmosphere, lofty workshop ceilings, and original windows flanked by outdoor firepits. With the opening of Lasair, The Barn has been repurposed as a versatile event space.
The menu at Lasair is crafted around five key flavour profiles – sweet, salty, umami, acidic, and floral

The menu celebrates the finest locally sourced ingredients through a selection of Irish small plates, ideal for sharing. Vegan and vegetarian options are also available, showcasing the same creativity and attention to detail.
Highlights include Lamb Ssam (lamb rump, pickles, romesco, crispy onion) and BBQ Monkfish (paprika cured, saffron chermoula, cashew & coconut crumb). Dessert lovers can indulge in creations like the Brûlée Banana (tonka banana foam, hazelnut crumb, chocolate crémeux) or the Orange & Olive Oil Cake (ginger ice cream, shortbread crumb, rosemary-roasted white chocolate).
After dinner, guests can relax in the library bar downstairs to enjoy an aperitif, sip on Stout Negroni’s and Turkish Delight Bramble’s, play card games by the fire, indulge in a gin or whiskey tasting experience, or wind down with a movie and popcorn in the private cinema.

“At Lasair, we want guests to feel connected – to nature, to great food, and to each other,” says Head Chef Kristin Reagon. “As a female-led team, we take immense pride in creating an experience that is as nurturing as it is exciting, where every dish tells a story and every moment feels special.” Kristin Reagon has been working in kitchens since the age of 18, beginning her culinary journey at the renowned Pot Luck Club in Cape Town before honing her skills in a variety of restaurants.
Lasair is now open to guests of Finn Lough and will welcome reservations from non-residents in the coming weeks.
