Sligo Food Trail Announces New Food Experiences to Whet Your Appetite

The Sligo Food Trail have released a new brochure of food experiences, events and tours for curious food lovers to sample.

With overnight stays, foraging, fermenting and seaweed experiences, along with craft beer and whiskey tastings, there really is something for everyone. There are also some pizza, bread and jam making experiences.

Experience Farm to Fork with dinner and an overnight stay at Coopershill in Riverstown. A stunning Georgian house situated on 500 acres of farm and woodland, here you can sample O’Hara’s award-winning venison.

For the health conscious or those with food intolerances, the healthy cooking workshop with Gaby Wieland should whet your appetite.

Food Experiences

She’ll also be hosting a detox day course at the Organic Centre, where you’ll learn about aids for weight loss, improving your skin condition and strengthening your immune system.

Visitors to Sligo can also learn how to make a basic jam, curd and cordial around the kitchen table at Murson Farm. Learn about the basic equipment needed, sterilisation and receive jam recipes. This is a hands on experience and you will take home samples of what is made on the day.

Sure to be popular are bread making classes at Pudding Row with Dervla James. In these classes you will learn all you need to know in making your own lovely loaves at home.

Visit sligofoodtrail.ie for more information and to read more about the upcoming events.
