Ristorante Rinuccini Chosen for Bord Bia’s Award-Winning Restaurants Map
The Just Ask map allows diners to easily locate award-winning restaurants close by for a meal featuring the best of Irish food. All of the featured restaurants have been specially selected by Bord Bia and renowned food writer Georgina Campbell for excellence in sourcing fresh, seasonal and locally produced ingredients.
Developed in response to consumers’ increasing interest and support of local foods, each restaurant featured on the map has shown best practice and transparency in food sourcing and engagement in food provenance in their region; helping to strengthen Kilkenny’s reputation as one of Ireland’s top dining destinations.
A recent report found that culinary travel experiences are now the most popular method for driving tourism businesses. Food has an unmatched ability to communicate a unique sense of place. Locally sourced ingredients provide a direct connection to the history and specialities of a region. The tourism and hospitality industry in Ireland employs an estimated 205,000 people and generates over €6 billion in overseas revenue each year.
A long-time supporter of Kilkenny and the South-East’s quality suppliers, Ristorante Rinuccini is the only city-based restaurant invited to become a member of Good Food Ireland for its commitment to using the best of seasonal, fresh, local produce. The restaurant’s Italian produce – wine, olive oil, charcuterie and cheese – is sourced and imported directly from Italy.
Speaking on their inclusion on the map, Chef Antonio Cavaliere Head Chef/Owner of Ristorante Rinuccini said “We are delighted to be included among those chosen to feature on Board Bia’s innovative map. Having been in business for over 25 years and built up excellent relationships with our supply partners locally we attribute much of our success to the quality of our ingredients.”
Ristorante Rinuccini is a fine-dining Italian restaurant, owned and run by the Cavaliere family. Kilkenny’s longest established restaurant, Rinuccini is renowned for its cuisine, service, décor and wine.
