Looking to taste some dishes and meet new people with a shared interest in food? The hugely popular Dublin-based Cookbook Club is hosting another event with plant-based dishes that feature mouth-watering recipes that have come from identifying some of the most wasted food items in our homes.
The Cookbook Club’s next event will take place on Sunday, 24th November from 1:30pm to 4:30pm in the beautiful basement banquet hall of the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), and will feature a plant-based menu from Conor Spacey’s WASTED in collaboration with Blasta Books.
WASTED is a capsule collection of recipes that will help you to stop wasting food and turn perfectly good ingredients into delicious dishes. The menu was carefully crafted by chef Conor Spacey, who has done a deep dive into sustainability and our broken food system to become one of the industry leaders in zero-waste kitchens.
What to Expect at the WASTED Cookbook Club
This veggie-packed, family-style menu will be accompanied by a welcome drink and wine pairing. Guests will also leave with a signed copy of WASTED to try out the recipes for themselves, to help stop wasting food, and to turn perfectly good ingredients into delicious dishes.
Chef Spacey will be in attendance sharing stories throughout the day all about the process and journey of creating WASTED, reconnecting you to real food from root to the tip. Between each course, guests will be treated to a Q&A with Spacey, so you can recreate the recipes at home with confidence!
The Cookbook Club is a great way to explore and learn about new cuisines, hear the stories behind publishing a cookbook, and to meet new people who also have an interest in food.
