TV3 has confirmed that Irish celebrity chef Rachel Allen will be the new critic on The Restaurant, after Tom Doorley quit last year due to his clash with Marco Pierre White.
The news was revealed as part of the station’s spring schedule launch in Dublin today.
Rachel Allen was brought up in Dublin and left home at eighteen to study at the world-famous Ballymaloe Cookery School. She’s now a busy TV chef, author, journalist and mother, and still teaches at Ballymaloe.
The Restaurant returns to its stunning home at the Marco Pierre White Courtyard Bar & Grill in Donnybrook, with the world class chef himself joining the critics table.
It will be the fourth series of the hugely popular Irish reality television series on TV3 and it’s expected to air early this year.
