Lady Helen McCalmont, the previous owner of Mount Juliet, was a superb hostess who oversaw the gardens and kitchens with a kindly but firm hand. At The Lady Helen Restaurant team work hard to maintain her high standards and the restaurant bearing her name now bears a Michelin Star, along with three AA Rosettes.

The restaurant, located inside Mount Juliet house, a magnificent Georgian mansion specialises in preparing a variety of international dishes using local ingredients, including many from the kitchen garden, herb garden and farm. Gourmet dining and superb service are complemented by an extensive list of fine wines and spirits.

THE CHEF
Ken Harker is Head Chef at The Lady Helen Restaurant where he and his team have retained their Michelin Star – one of only eleven restaurants in Ireland to do so. As someone with a reputation for presenting some of Ireland’s most exciting dishes, Ken’s attitude to food is pragmatic. “Taste is everything”, he believes. “A kitchen that strives for honesty and great taste can’t go wrong.”
