Summer is the best season in my opinion – the sun is shining (and we’ve been lucky so far!), the weather is warm, the birds are singing, and it’s iced coffee season. As a self-proclaimed iced coffee expert, here’s a list of some spots that serve up some delicious and refreshing iced coffee in Dublin. This is not an extensive list, as almost every café in Dublin serves up tasty iced coffees – these spots offer both the classic iced coffees, as well as some delicious twists (Vietnamese iced coffee, anyone?)
One Kinda Folk
Based on Leeson Street and off Dartmouth Square, One Kinda Folk serve up some twists on the classic iced coffee. If you’re after a caffeine kick, you’ll find it in the form of a delicious iced matcha, or an equally as delicious iced chai (make it a dirty chai with a shot of espresso!). For the iced coffee, you can give the lavender syrup a whirl for a sweet floral addition to your morning brew.
Vice Coffee Inc
If you love a sweeter iced coffee, you’ll love a Vietnamese iced coffee – it’s sweetened with condensed mik. Vice Coffee Inc, with their famous ‘Ice Ice Baby’ stickers, sell a refreshing Vietnamese iced coffee that will wake you right up. If you’re looking to add a bit more pep to your step, try their Irish coffee cocktail!
Bear Market
Bear Market – the dog friendly spot with smiling staff and delicious pastries – offers up both a classic iced coffee (I love a little coconut milk in mine for that tropical feel!), as well as the aforementioned Vietnamese iced coffee. Bring your pup, order your drink and a pastry and live your best life.
Two Pups Coffee
Head over to the Liberties to the quaint café that is Two Pups Coffee. Another dog friendly spot on this list (it’s a pattern – iced coffee and pups go together well, clearly!), you’ll find Vietnamese iced coffee served up here, as well as tasty iced mocha’s for the chocolate lovers. For an extra refresher, they’re doing ice cream too – it truly is summer!
Kaph
Kaph is known to serve up some brilliant coffee, and their take on iced coffee is certainly welcome this summer. Other than the regular iced coffees to be expected, those with a sweet tooth will adore their blended coffees. A regular coffee blended with ice makes this drink much creamier and therefore, more delicious – almost like a Frappuccino/slushy hybrid! If you want to go for something a little less sweet, their cold brews are ready to go in a quaint jar with a lid, so you can carry it with you for a refreshing caffeine boost on the go.
Clement and Pekoe
If you’re an iced coffee connoisseur, you may prefer cold brew over a regular espresso iced coffee. If so, head over to Clement and Pekoe. A cool spot typically known for their impressive selection of teas, coffee lovers will be delighted with their cold brew offering. If you want a caffeine kick in the form of tea, their iced house chai is equally as satisfying (plus, they’re tea experts – this is a good one!)
Cloud Picker
You may know Cloud Picker’s coffee from their beans being available at some cafés around Dublin, but their own location on Pearse Street offers some unique syrups to sweeten your iced coffee. Switching it up every once in a while, they have had orange blossom syrup and date syrup as the sweetener options – sounds delectable. Take it up a notch and give their espresso tonic a go, made with kombucha – you’ll certainly be refreshed after this one!
Alma
The Argentinian spot famous for their wonderful brunch dishes, including their tasty Dulce de Leche pancakes, offer up their own version of iced coffee that caramel lovers will go nuts for. Switch up your regular iced caramel latte for Alma’s Dulce de Leche iced coffee and never look back.
Urbanity
Smithfield’s very own lunch and brunch spot is also known for their brilliant coffee, and their iced coffee is no exception. You can go for their regular iced coffees and satisfy the craving, but their twists on the classic are equally as good. Their cold brew and tonic is one that’s catching our eye! They’ve also got an iced mocha on offer (chocolate and coffee never hurt anyone), as well as the ever-so popular Vietnamese iced coffee. Yum.
Søren & Son
If you love a no frills spot that just serves really good coffee, you’ll love Søren & Son in the Liberties. They are extremely passionate about their brew, so you can guarantee that their iced coffee will be delicious. A Scandinavian-inspired vibe is evident here, and their pastries are to die for. Give this spot a try!

I’m a Palestinian who grew up in Cyprus and moved to Dublin in 2013, so I’ve had a mishmash of different cultures and cuisines surrounding me my whole life. I’m an avid foodie, and after realising that life as a lawyer was not for me, I studied media and became a radio host for Dublin City FM. I’m now writing for TheTaste full time, but I also have my own food blog where you can find a mixture of restaurant reviews and the occasional recipe. I talk a lot about being Palestinian; to be honest, I talk a lot in general. That’s why I did radio!
