Cask Bar & Restaurant, Cork City

Boutique cocktail and food venue Cask on MacCurtain Street in the Victorian Quarter of Cork city has been gaining plaudits since opening in February 2017 for its innovative, seasonal, farm-to-glass cocktails, designed by manager and accomplished mixologist Andy Ferreira, and street food-inspired, small plates food menu created by award-winning head chef Bryan McCarthy.

A cutting-edge, seasonal, farm-to-glass drinks programme is at the heart of Cask, designed by World Class Irish Bartender of the Year 2017 Andy Ferreira.

The cocktail menu changes every eight weeks, when nature’s offering allows for it, and is based around what wild ingredients are available to pick and forage, such as wild gorse flowers, fresh dillisk and rosemary flowers. Three specialist Japanese ice machines have been installed to produce block ice, ball ice and flavoured ice.

All of these elements are married with a wine list of more than 20 carefully selected wines, an eclectic music policy played on a state-of-the-art sound system, and one of the most unique and stunning outdoor areas in the whole country – the outside courtyard area is prepared for an Irish, all-weather climate, with the arrival of a full canopy.

Cask is located at number 48 MacCurtain Street in Cork’s city centre, Ireland, next door to Hotel Isaacs and Greenes Restaurant.
