Canada Day is this weekend and to celebrate the nation’s 150th birthday, WOW Air has announced amazing flight deals from Dublin and Cork to Toronto and Montreal.
These flights are now available from €150 each way, including all taxes and charges – what’s not to love?
There is one little catch in that the flights aren’t direct. There’s a short stopover in Iceland’s Keflavik Airport, but we’d never say no to an Iceland visit, no matter how short.
As part of the deal, checked baggage fees cost extra, with a 12kg cabin bag costing €41.99 and a 20kg check-in bag will set you back €57.99. Food, drink and reserved seats also cost extra.
To avail of the deal, travel dates are limited to January and February 2018 for the Dublin flights to Toronto and Montreal and October 2017 for the flights from Cork.
While this is a great deal, some people may not want the hassle of extra charges. Aer Lingus currently offers flights from Dublin to Toronto from €274 each way. This fair includes a 23kg checked bag, food and entertainment.
Canada Day takes place on July 1st and celebrates the enactment of the Constitution Act of 1867. A year-long programme of events is taking place.
Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is set to visit Ireland next Tuesday with his family.
