Last Monday night, the winners of the World Travel Awards’ 23rd edition were announced in Sardinia. Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa was along the six Irish hotels that received special mentions at the ceremony:

Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa: It was recognised as Ireland’s leading hotel

Dromoland Castle: Ireland’s leading boutique hotel.

The Shelbourne Hotel: it was praised as Ireland’s leading business hotel.

The Westbury Hotel: The Westbury’s Presidential Suite got Ireland’s leading hotel suite.

The Conrad: it was hailed as Ireland’s leading luxury hotel, and Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa was acknowledged as Ireland’s leading spa resort.

Regarding the awards, Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa’s “General Manager, Ian Wynne, said: “We are exceptionally pleased and indeed proud to be voted Ireland’s Leading Hotel 2016 at the prestigious Awards.”
