This time of year the sunny South East is well known for its mouth wateringly juicy, and succulently sweet strawberries, but the very first Feast of Wexford will showcase the very best of the other ingredients and producers Wexford has to offer.
Taking place on Friday 24th, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June, the Feast of Wexford is organised by the Wexford Food Family, a not for profit network of food producers dedicated to promoting Wexford food.
The whole event will take place in two special marquee tents on the iconic quay in Wexford town, along with barbecue pagodas and the Wexford Craft Beer Garden. The Wexford Food Family Market Stalls will give people the chance to meet the people who make fantastic local foods, sample the goodies and buy them to take home or scoff on the spot.
The Wexford Food Family Kitchen Marquee will see a host of amazingly talented Wexford chefs showing us how they work their magic with a full schedule of cookery demos. The Wexford Craft Beer Garden will feature our three craft beer brewers and give you the opportunity to enjoy their brews.
The weekend will be launched with the Feast of Wexford Banquet – a gala dinner devised by Phelim Byrne featuring all Wexford produce. You can find more info, including booking details here https://bit.ly/FeastofW
Saturday night it’s time for our Float our Lifeboat Big Barbecue Bash in aid of the RNLI. Tickets are €15 for fabulous food cooked by Philip Gore of the Riverbank House Hotel and brilliant musical entertainment from Wexford’s own Corner Boy and more.
