O’Hara’s Brewery Winter Star is a spiced rye pale ale which features a natural spiciness ideal fro the season. The brewery has recently launched its 2016 edition of the beer which is available by itself or as part of the O’Hara’s Craft Beer Christmas Gift Pack.

O’Hara’s Brewery Winter Star is light copper coloured with a lightly carbonated white head. Its flavour is enhanced with spice additions, most notably cinnamon, followed by orange zest and citrus, balanced with rye breadiness. It’s rich and mellow with a mild bitter hoppy note. It works well as a post meal session beer. Ideal for crumbling desserts such as cherry or apricot tart. If pairing with a cheese board, soft goats cheese, or mature cheddars work best.
