With the ‘Beast from the East’ currently battering the country, we can’t help but plan our next sunny escape. Ryanair has announced a new Cork to Faro route, which will give traveller’s more choice when planning a trip to Portugal.
Popular with those seeking some winter sun, the new service will run twice-weekly service as part of the airline’s Winter 2018 schedule.
Speaking about the news, Kevin Cullinane, Head of Communications at Cork Airport, said: “Expanding routes from Cork Airport is always a priority, so we are delighted to see Ryanair giving customers an even wider selection of destinations to choose from during the next winter season.”
The new Cork to Faro flight is part of Ryanair’s largest ever winter schedule, with nine new routes in total.
These include new routes from Dublin to Athens, Bari, Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Marrakesh, Paphos and Santander.
So while we’re locked up inside for the storm today, at least we can take solace in the fact that a sun holiday is well within reach.
