Follow the Flavour – 12 Chefs in Ireland You Need to Follow on Social Media

Thanks to social media we have now constant access to the real-time musings of chefs all across Ireland.

280 characters at a time, or square by square on Instagram, those who devote their lives to food fill in the gaps between our visits to their restaurants not only with a generous serving of new dishes in the works and the provenance of ingredients they source, but also a sprinkling of the banter in the kitchen and a portion of their views on industry issues.

At the same time as the line between chef and de facto celebrity continues to blur, thanks to their increasing visibility on TV and across various social media platforms, chefs views are growing in relevance.

Food is political topic after all. There are few topics that influence our communities, our health, and our societal values quite as much. More and more we are seeing chefs stepping up to bring important issues to our attention.

So, we’ve gathered up a list of our favorite chefs across Ireland to follow on Twitter and Instagram, if you’re not yet following all of them, get on it.

Tweet us @thetaste_ie using #FollowtheFlavour to let us know if we’ve missed any of your favorites.
