Waterford Crystal has teamed up with Tequila Avión to launch a bespoke set of handcrafted glassware featuring a decanter and a pair of lowball glasses. Named the “Avión Collection”, this limited edition luxury crystal gift set draws inspiration from the blue weber agave plant.
The design of both the decanter and the glasses resemble a freshly harvested Rare Blue Weber Agave “piña”, as the plant’s heart is referred to and they also feature a nod to the iconic wings of Avión’s ‘flying agave’ logo, mimicked in the striking opulent cuts of the crystal.
The set was crafted to elevate the experience of appreciating Tequila Avión, voted World’s Best Tasting Tequila at the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Waterford Crystal was founded in 1783 by brothers William and George Penrose and it’s known internationally for its high end crystal glassware and luxury home accessories. Regarding this creation, Howard Hyde, Global Marketing Director of Crystral said: “The Avión Collection decanter and glass has been thoughtfully designed with a slightly bulbous base, which tapers at the top, to allow for a more focused tasting experience; releasing the roasted agave aroma of the tequila as you sip.”
