Tullamore D.E.W. has appointed three Irish graduates as brand ambassadors for key cities in the U.S.A. The three recruits will travel to Fort Lauderdale, Denver and Dallas to act as advocates for Tullamore D.E.W. and Irish whiskey.
Gillian Murphy and Emma Oliver, from Cork, and Ailish Egan, from Dublin, were chosen from over 400 applicants for their confidence, commercial focus and enthusiasm. The new ambassadors will begin their training at Tullamore D.E.W.’s new state-of-the-art distillery, which opened last year. The three will then embark on an 18-month journey to promote Tullamore D.E.W. to an American audience.
Caspar MacRae, Global Brand Director for Tullamore D.E.W. commented: “It’s important for Tullamore D.E.W. to foster and acknowledge the incredible wealth of young talent in Ireland. With the brand going from strength-to-strength worldwide, this is an incredibly exciting time for these three exceptional Irish graduates to become part of the Tullamore D.E.W. family. Our ambassadors play an integral role in educating our US trade partners and consumers about Irish whiskey and raising awareness of Tullamore D.E.W.’s premium credentials.”
This opportunity for the Irish graduates was offered through the IBEC/Bord Bia Export Orientation Programme (EOP). The programme combines an International Business Diploma with a placement. It is renowned as Ireland’s longest-running and most successful graduate placement programme, providing graduates of all disciplines with an invaluable introduction to international business.
