The annual SuperValu French Wine Event returns on Thursday, 5th September packed full of sensational wines that have been hand-picked by SuperValu’s wine buyer, Kevin O’Callaghan. This selection of wines on offer will delight wine connoisseurs and those with a growing appreciation alike. Featuring wines from the most renowned wine growing regions across France, the event offers incredible choice and the opportunity for consumers to try some of the Specially Sourced Range exclusive to SuperValu, along with some superb guest wines available for a limited time for the duration of the event until September 25th.
Commenting on this year’s event Kevin O’Callaghan, SuperValu Wine Buyer, said: “It gives me great delight to bring some of these wonderful wines to our customers, and this year we’ve really tried to make it our best French Wine Event to date. These wines have been sourced from our network of incredible wine makers across France, who pour their heart and soul into making these beautiful wines year in, year out. If you are a fan of big, bold reds, crisp and refreshing whites or juicy, fruity rosé we have made sure to cater to all tastes. But the real fun with wines is trying something new and different that you just might fall in love with, so I would encourage our customers to do some exploring and discover the wide and wonderful grape varieties France has to offer for example why not try our Cremant instead of your normal sparking. This is a great or as an alternative to a Champagne and a more affordable option.”
He continued: “Two outstanding wines to look out for from the Andre Goichot range are both the Chablis and the Fleurie – we’ve worked with the supplier for over 15 years and the quality of these wines are exceptional.”
