Slow Down, Shop and Savour Great Food at this Weekend’s Slow Food Festival

The food festival season shows no sign of slowing down with this weekends Slow Food Festival taking place on the 7th – 8th October in the Guildhall Square, Derry.

This weekend’s festival will be a celebration of ‘slow food,’ local, clean and fair food which is not mass produced.

Slow Food is a global, grassroots organisation that promotes true enjoyment of good food with the commitment to community and the environment.

The guest star of the festival is internationally renowned eco-chef and food writer Tom Hunt will be the special guest at this year’s family-friendly, free admission event.

A host of street food stalls will descend on Guildhall Square including Feast or Famine, Mekong Street Fod, Nonna’s Wood Fired Pizzas, Pyke ‘n’ Pommes, and Morelli’s Ice Cream.s.

Key highlights include the Harvest Fayre attended by around 20 artisan producers from throughout the North West and further afield; live cooking demos on the main stage; a Craft Beer Garden, tastings, music and more.
