This Friday night Slane Castle is the place to be, not for the rock concert of the century this time around however but instead for the launch of the castle’s new dining experience, The Gandon Room Restaurant.
With a launch date finally revealed to be this Friday 28th July, guests are invited to visit the castle for the official reveal of the glamorous new restaurant.
Set in the middle of a 1,500 acre estate in the heart of the Boyne Valley, County Meath, Slane Castle is best known as the destination of the epic Slane concerts and the venue of choice for fairytale weddings Slane Castle but since the Gandon Room restaurant and the adjoining Brownes Bar quietly opened in May the castle has become a dining destination too.
An enchanting experience from the moment of arrival, guests to the new restaurant enter through the Castle Courtyard and arrive into a relaxed and elegant reception area which adjoins the Gandon Room.
According the Slane Castle’s website the mandate of the restaurant is to “serve the very best of modern Irish cuisine always using the very best local and seasonal produce.”
The new restaurant, named after one of the principle architects of the Castle James Gandon, opened alongside Browne’s Bar which is the ideal choice for a lighter or more informal meal, and as you would expect the bar offers a wide range of drinks to suit all tastes.
