Raw Protein Balls Recipe by Anna Jane Kingston

You only need five ingredients to make this nutty protein balls recipe, and they’re raw, so they only take a mere eight minutes to make. Protein balls are a fantastic snack for pre and post workout, a nice little treat that give a little energy boost, whilst also providing protein, vitamin E and fibre.

Indeed, I also find these great in the morning if I’m in a rush, I can grab two, and happily munch on them in the car! The subtle hint of cacao will help satisfy chocolate cravings, and you’ll get a nice little antioxidant boost at the same time.

Makes 14 balls

Ingredients:

1 cup dates
1 cup mixed nuts
3 tbsp raw honey
2 tbsp almond butter
1 tbsp raw cacao powder (you can substitute with cocoa if you like)

Method:

1. Simply blitz everything together in a blender.
2. Roll into balls.
3. Serve.
