Prizefight Irish Whiskey has just launched in New York and Boston. This whiskey, which is distilled and bottled in West Cork, it pays homage to Irishmen who journeyed to America: the bottles tell the story of boxing legends of Irish origins and the content itself is also a collaboration between both countries as the whiskey is finished in American rye casks from Tamworth Distilling in New Hampshire.
Prizefight is now available for shipping in the US via Warehouse Wines and Blueprint Spirits in NYC and Boston are currently taking orders.
The bright pale gold whiskey is described as a fresh and clean whiskey with fruit, floral, and spice notes. “Sweet and refreshing up front, followed by a subtle hit of bitterness and a spicy finish.” Fresh tropical fruit on the nose with a mild greenness complement the aroma descriptors and taste-wise it offers a clean and fresh sip with a slight sweetness and a smooth, spicy finish.
Prizefight Irish Whiskey is priced at €50 and $50. In Ireland, it’s available in Dublin Airport’s Duty Free The Loop and in select retailers and bars.
