Are you afraid of ghosts? You wouldn’t want to be if you have any intention of staying in a notorious former prison, one of the most haunted buildings in the UK.
Forget apartments on cliffs and luxurious hotels, true brave souls can now stay in the historical Shepton Mallet Prison in Somerset.
This terrifying prison was built in 1610 and has a long, dark history, with death sentences being carried out until 1945.
For one night only on October 13th (yes it’s a Friday the 13th), brave and willing guests can spend the night in a cell within the 75-foot walls of the prison. Your stay includes dinner and breakfast.
In addition to this, visitors will get the opportunity to go on a nighttime tour of the prison and explore the dark corners alone…
Guests are required to bring warm, comfortable clothes, rollup mats or airbeds, as well as a sleeping bag, pillow and torch.
If this sounds like something that will thrill rather than kill you, you can book tickets, which are priced at £60, on Immersive events here.
