NolaClan Group, the hospitality group controlled by renown publican Alan Clancy, has made recent headlines thanks to two high profile openings: the luxurious 9 Below bar, located in the basement of the Hibernian Club in Dublin, and Amber, a chic new nightclub in Limerick’s Howley’s Quay.
Now the group is set to receive a major boost as Viztip, a company linked to property developer Jerry Conlan, has acquired a minority share “in excess of 25 per cent” in NolaClan, reported the Irish times. The deal represented an investment of approximately €3.5 million and it is expected that the agreement sees the opening of new establishments run by NolaClan in buildings purchased by Jerry Conlan.
The developer has acquired several properties in Dublin, especially neighbouring Dame Street, an area which is going to receive a major makeover over the next few years. According to the Irish Times, Jerry Conlan has joined the NolaClan board as part of the deal.
Alan Clancy and the NolaClan Group are behind numerous popular bars and venues in Dublin and other Irish cities including 37 Dawson, House, Xico, Mrs Robinson in Greystones, The Fence in Mullingar and the Oyster Tavern in Cork, which recently was awarded as the “Best Cork Vintners Federation of Ireland Pub.”
Among other recent openings of NolaClan Group, there is House Belfast, the third House venue (there’s one in Dublin and one in Limerick), which opened its doors on the 15th of January.
