M&S pizza range was developed to offer you authentic pizzas which are all under 470 calories, including tasty flavours such as Prosciutto Crudo & Fig – a delicious combination of Italian semi-dried figs, Parmigianno Reggiano and a drizzle of balsamic dressing.
The pizzas are made from a slow rising sourdough which is hand-stretched to be ultra thin, before baking in a wood fired oven to give a light crisp base. They are then topped with artisan ingredients such as Italian fennel salami and slow roasted red Santarella tomatoes.
Claire Richardson, M&S Pizza Product Developer, says “The trend for lighter pizzas has rocketed recently, as people look for pizzas which are controlled in terms of size and calories but are still authentic and full of flavour.”
The range also features Mozzarella di Bufala & Rocket Pesto, Pollo Primavera and Salami Firenze.
