Launched today (1 March), M&S have once again taken the lead and have introduced a new savoury hot cross bun. The new Savoury Cheese Hot Cross Bun is a blend of two cheeses with Turkish sultanas, onion, chives, spices, and a brewers paste flavoured cross.

A refreshing uptake on the traditional spiced sweet bun (which is made with currants or raisins), it is expected to fly off the shelves. Whether it is consumed hot or cold, on it’s own, or with Kerrygold butter and crisp bacon, there is no doubting that this new savoury delight will be a huge hit.

The new Savoury Cheese Hot Cross Buns are available in M&S stores now for €2.70.
