Here Are The Irish Restaurants That Have Been Awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand For 2019

It’s that time of the year again and The Michelin Guide has revealed which Irish restaurants have been awarded a Bib Gourmand for 2019.

With four new additions in the Republic of Ireland and one new addition in Northern Ireland, these are definitely venues you need to add to your foodie bucket list for the next year.

Brownes, Tuam, Galway

“The ingredients write the great value modern daily menu at Brownes in Tuam, which is awarded a Bib. It’s a sweet place run by a husband and wife and has been in the family for 3 generations.”

Clanbrassil House, Dublin

“A BG goes to the intimate Clanbrassil House, Dublin, where you can also share dishes ‘family-style’. Menus focus on the charcoal grill, with everything from homemade sausages to prime cuts.”

Dillon’s Restaurant, Timoleague, Cork

“A former pub-cum-grocer’s with a homely feel, Dillon’s in Timoleague gains a Bib. Flavoursome dishes are eye-catching in looks and make good use of local ingredients – some from their garden.”

Clenaghans Restaurant, Aghalee, Northern Ireland

“Clenaghans, Aghalee, receives a BG for its skilfully prepared, appealingly unfussy, rustic dishes which are packed with flavour. It’s charming, characterful and run by a lovely team.”
