Galway’s g Hotel & Spa is hosting a very special charity Afternoon Tea in March, so you can enjoy delicious treats for a good cause.
The Millinery Afternoon Tea is in partnership with newly founded charity Rosabel’s Rooms, and will take place on Sunday, March 25th.
Starting at 2pm, guests will be welcomed to the g Hotel for an afternoon of style, creativity and fabulous food. During the unique and fun masterclass, top Galway milliners will lend their expertise and guide guests to create their own one-off millinery masterpieces as a team. The winning table will be the envy of the room as they each walk away with a celebratory prize.
But don’t worry, the prizes won’t stop there. A whole host of companies have come together to support this inaugural event with a wide range of amazing raffle prizes up for grabs to raise further funds for Rosabel’s Rooms.
To crown this stylish event, Catwalk Models will present a stunning selection of couture millinery by talented Galway milliners for guests to enjoy. MC on the day will be Clare McKenna of TV3’s Ireland AM.
Rosabel’s Rooms was set up in January by Gary Monroe and Suzanne McClean in collaboration with The Irish Hospice Foundation, following the sudden and unexplained death of their beautiful daughter Rosabel, aged sixteen months.
The Millinery Afternoon Tea event will raise important funds for the provision of dedicated family-focused bereavement suites in hospitals around Ireland. University Hospital Galway have already committed to setting up the very first Rosabel’s Room and are currently working on the details as part of their planned Emergency Unit upgrade as well as a more immediate solution.
Rosabel’s Rooms will also facilitate therapeutic support for individuals impacted by child loss, and direct financial support to families, when a child dies in Ireland. This will enable parents to take much needed time off work and help with funeral costs etc.
The entire proceeds from the Hats, Heels & High Tea will go directly to this new initiative. Tickets cost €50 and include a glass of Prosecco on arrival, a unique millinery masterclass from top Galway milliners, delicious Afternoon Tea, live music and lots of wonderful prizes. You can purchase tickets for the Hats, Heels & High Tea fundraiser on Sunday 25th March via EventBrite.
