Here Are The Top Foodie Highlights for Culture Night 2018

Culture Night is taking place on Friday the 21st of September and this year’s line-up offers a wide range of activities for all interests. There are plenty of food events taking place that are definitely worth putting in your diary.

Join the educational fun at The Fumbally Stables from 5.00pm – 9.00pm. Learn about how the way we eat and drink affects our health and happiness and listen to informative talks about sustainable food practices and more.

In the newly refurbished Bewley’s on Grafton Street, from 4.00pm – 11.30pm, there will be live music and treats to celebrate the venue’s century-long history.

Dollard & Co will be paying tribute to the printing heritage of their building. From 4.00pm – 10.00pm, the National Print Museum will be in store, encouraging guests to get involved in letterpress printing and make their own keepsake to take home.

If you fancy soaking up some Spanish culture, head down to Viva from 5.00pm – 10.00pm for a fun fiesta. Experience a Mediterranean moment at a lively flamenco show with the Ana Belen Lopez School of Flamenco and classical guitarist Arash Kazemi.

Guests will enjoy tantalising Andalusian tapas or à la carte options alongside a range of Spanish wine and beer.

The Church Bar will host a guided talk through 300 years of folklore, history and art. There will be a 20-minute tour of St.Mary’s Parish and Graveyard in association with Pat Liddy Tours. The event takes place from 6.30pm – 11.30pm, with tours running every half hour.

Culture Night

In Limerick, there will be special events in association with the Pigtown Food Series. Taking place from 5.00pm – 8.00pm there will be Pig Parade Walks, street food, Pig Talks, cooking demos, music and much more.

In Tullow, the Forward Steps Family Resource Centre will host a fantastic multicultural celebration. The evening will include food tastings, art and craft stalls as well as national costumes and music from local communities.
