Canadian brewery Northern Maverick Brewing has launched a “Fake News Ale” as part of its charitable series. The can depicts an illustration of controversial US president Donald Trump and the brewery has informed on their site that for each can sold, they’ll donate 5% of sales “to help reverse a questionable policy.”
Voting to determine which charity will benefit from the funds raised will start in a few weeks.
“We stand in solidarity with our American neighbours in their time of need for beer”, they say, and while the beer is not yet available in the US, delivery will soon be an option.
The brewery points out that no president has actually endorsed it, but with the tagline of “Make Beer Great Again”, we had suspected that already!
