Right from the Ha’penny bridge in the heart of Dublin City through to Dublin Port and into Dublin Bay, this June Bank Holiday the River Liffey will be awash with a variety of exciting activities and events as Dublin Port Riverfest returns.
Running from Saturday 3rd to Monday 5th June, the headliner of the Riverfest 2017 ThunderCat Racing UK will captivate crowds with exhilarating performances, with boats expected to be seen flying up to 6m in the air!
Foodies will also flock to riverside to savour the array of street food on offer.
The popular lunch time food market organisers Irish Village Markets will be behind the open-air food and craft market at the event, supplying a diverse and delicious range of international food.
Among the stalls you can sample are Pasta Box, Kerala Kitchen, Jaru Kimchi, Sol Burritos and Kanum Thai.
Finish your feasting on a sweet note with desserts on offer form Arctic Stone rolled ice cream and Crepe Wagon among others.
To build your appetite get involved in the range of activities that will include river ferries and cruises, boat tours of Dublin Port and Dublin Bay, ‘Try Sailing’ sessions on both sailing dinghies and keelboats, Stand Up Paddle boarding (SUP) sessions and Kayaking trips.
Not too keen on getting wet? Land activities will also play an integral part.
Family Zones will host free activities such as zip lines, rock climbing, street performers, music, fun fair attractions, face painting, pirate re-enactments and children’s art and circus workshops.
Again this year, The Jeanie Johnston will be offering free tours over the course of the weekend, along with seven other stunning tall ships.
The Dublin Port Riverfest returns this year from Saturday 3rd – Monday 5th of June and will be open from 12pm – 6pm daily.
