Discover Which Guinness World Record Was Recently Broken by Royal Caribbean’s North Star

Royal Caribbean has made it into the Guinness Book of World Records thanks to its unique North Star attraction aboard the cruise line’s Quantum-class ships.

The exclusive experience takes guests high above the sea in a glass observation capsule that gently rises over 300 feet in the air and is able to rotate, offering a stunning 360-degree view. The record for which the attraction made the book was “Highest Viewing Deck on a Cruise Ship.”

First introduced in 2014, the Quantum-class ships introduced a series of innovations in design and game-changing technology, as well as numerous activities and dining experiences.

The three Quantum class ships – Quantum of the SeasOvation of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas – offer world-class holiday experiences to international guests. Quantum of the Seas is homeported in Beijing (Tianjin) and starting next week, Ovation of the Seas will be homeported in Sydney for the southern hemisphere summer. Anthem of the Seas is currently sailing from Cape Liberty Cruise Port in New York Harbor to Bermuda, The Bahamas and the Caribbean.

Some of the famous views guests can see from the top of the North Star include the Statue of Liberty, Paradise Island (Bahamas), Milford Sound (New Zealand), Hong Kong Skyline and the Syndey Opera House.
