Day Trip Alert: Salty Buoy Seafood Truck Returns to Skerries

Perfectly timed for a sunny Bank Holiday day trip to the seaside, Salty Buoy seafood truck has announced it’s back in Skerries for the summer season, starting from Saturday 3rd May.


Housed in a retrofitted Citroën H van, Salty Buoy serves up lobster rolls, freshly shucked oysters, crab, crispy fried fish, and daily specials dictated by the freshest catch and the weather—think creamy chowder, zingy poké bowls, chargrilled smoky prawns, classic fish and chips, and fresh Dublin Bay prawns.

The menu changes weekly, with this week’s menu including Lambay Island crab rolls, prawn and chip butty, and a ‘Skerries spice bag’

Founded by award-winning chef and sustainable seafood advocate,Niall Sabongi, Salty Buoy works directly with Irish fishers, selecting only the freshest, most sustainable catch, fresh from boat to plate.

Salty Buoy will be located in Skerries Sailing Club this weekeend from 12-7pm – check Salty Buoy’s Instagram here for next weekend’s opening hours and menu.
