From the 19th– 21st October, The Glass Curtain restaurant led by head chef and owner, Brian Murray is hosting an exceptional and once off dining experience with wine pairings and signature cocktails with the San Franciscan team from restaurant, Osito.
The one-star Michelin restaurant is coming this side of the Atlantic for the first time to visit Cork and host a three-day collaborative pop up at The Glass Curtain as part of its Swiss Roll Sessions. Osito is San Francisco’s only 100 percent live fire, fine-dining restaurant that features the bounty of West California’s rich agricultural heritage and local food producers. The team will welcome Osito’s head chef, Seth Stowaway and his co-chef & partner, Matt Hanley, as well as Osito’s leading beverage directors, Uzziel Pulido and Grace Ackerman.
Oisin Wolfe, The Glass Curtain’s newly appointed leading mixologist and World Class Ireland 2023 finalist will be creating a bespoke cocktail menu in collaboration with Osito featuring luxury spirit brands such as Ketel One vodka, Roe & Co Irish Whiskey and Don Julio tequila. The Glass Curtain team are big believers in fusing the bar program eathos to the kitchen, for example one hero cocktail that features on this collaboration menu is a Ketel One vodka with leftover corn husks from local farm Gort na Nain, lightly acidified with waste apple cores and bottoms saved from the restaurant’s dessert development. This is the perfect example of showcasing seasonal and sustainable ingredients.
Food and drink enthusiasts are in for a real treat as both restaurants’ seasonal approach to cooking evokes the natural beauty of their surroundings and both are renowned for their warm hospitality. Guests can expect an innovative and delicious 5-course tasting menu with 11 servings featuring seasonal Cork produce mixed with the creativity of The Glass Curtain and Osito teams.
Reservations will be live from Wednesday 27th September and can be made through The Glass Curtain website here. There will be 11 servings over a 5-course menu and priced at €120 per person.
