Dubliners were hooked on Catch-22 as soon as it opened in 2015, serving flavoursome fresh fish fast at affordable prices from a compact space on South Anne Street. Now the restaurant has announced it’s moving onto bigger and better things – specifically, a new location on Chatham Row.
Catch-22 will remain open on South Anne Street until Sunday 30th October, before unveiling the new restaurant next Bar Rua, just off Clarendon Street, Dublin 2.
Making the annoucement on social media this week, Catch-22 said: “Sometimes a crew realises they need to SEAS the day and move onto a bigger boat.”
“Over the last two years we’ve enjoyed a lot of success and for that, we thank our loyal customers.”
We can expect that the new space will emulate the beachside shack feel of their current restaurant, where whitewashed wooden walls and enamel dishes give a casual seaside vibe.
Along with fish and chips, there’s the likes of fresh cod in a flaky pale ale batter and daily seafood specials, all served with chunky fries, creamy tartar sauce, and jazzed up mushy peas – making Catch-22 a must visit for seafood lovers.
