This is not a drill – the much salivated over ice cream company Ben & Jerry’s is giving away free ice cream today to mark Free Cone Day .
The initiative is being celebrated in selected ‘Scoop Shops’ around the world, with free ice creams available from between 12pm and 8pm.
In Ireland these locations are mostly within cinemas – so you may just want to forgo your usual popcorn order this Tuesday.
According to the company, ‘Free Cone Day’ is Ben & Jerry’s generous way of saying thanks to all their customers for buying their ice cream throughout the year.
Their website remarks: “Every time you enjoy a scoop of Ben & Jerry’s, you’re showing us how much you care. We love you too, and Free Cone Day is our favourite way to show it!”
