One of Dublin's most inviting bars, the Knights Bar at Clontarf Castle, has teamed up with local favourite The Five Lamps Brewery to create their very own pale ale, fittingly named Cluain Tarbh, Clontarf's original name in Irish. The time honoured Knights Bar at Clontarf Castle Hotel is the perfect setting to enjoy this refreshing yet flavourful craft brew, made to effortlessly match the wide array of high-end gastropub dishes from their eclectic menu. Some of the delightful options you can pair your pint of Cluain Tarbh with include the Knights Bar's signature Crispy Pork Belly, served with baked apple puree, Clonakilty black pudding potato cakes and savoy cabbage; Braised Irish Beef Short Ribs (with tagliatelle pasta bound in crème fraiche, truffle, pickled mushrooms, shallots and aged Parmesan ), or Roasted Monkfish and Panko Fried Black Tiger Prawns (with chickpea stew, spiced coconut voluté, roaring bay mussel); all of which have been recently added to the venues' selection of hearty and appetising dishes. The Five Lamps Brewery is an independent craft brewery located in the heart of The Liberties, which focuses on producing high quality beers and is always keen to highlight Dublin's rich brewing heritage and tradition. They've collaborated with the team at the Kings Bar to craft a balanced ale with a creamy top and a refreshing character. Cluain Tarbh Pale Ale is available exclusively at Clontarf Castle Hotel and it's ideal whether enjoyed with friends by the cosy fireplace at the stunning bar, or alongside any of the mouth-watering dishes created by Head Chef is Stuart Heeney, another proud Dubliner who has worked for Michelin starred establishments and prestigious venues across Dublin, and who has cooked at Clontarf Castle since 2012.
