Classic Whiskey Tastings
All of their whiskey tasting experiences are aimed to provide a fun, interactive and relaxed event which is perfect for corporate groups, stag, hen, wedding parties or just a get together with friends or family. Each tasting experience will provide an immersive dive into Irish whiskey, where you will sample six various whiskeys and be guided through each one by your expert whiskey host.
Experience Irish Whiskey’s packages range from a light-hearted entry for those new to Irish whiskey, who may be having their first tasting, where you can sample some classics of the more established Irish whiskey brands. For those more familiar with Irish whiskey, they offer a deeper dive where they will sample some of the hidden gems of the industry
The whiskey tastings take place in a genuine Victorian Dublin pub such as The Palace Bar or The Swan bar and running time is approximately 90 minutes. Each tasting package takes guests through all of the Irish styles.
Historic Whiskey Walk – Sip and Stroll
Uncover the historic story behind Irish whiskey’s golden days with this fully guided whiskey walking tour through its epicentre of the Dublin Liberties. Together with your local whiskey expert, you will discover some of the Liberties long gone whiskey barons, local characters and pubs but hear of the new generation of blenders, brewers and distillers bringing home the uisce Beatha.
Their Sip and Stroll takes in the rich distilling history of Thomas Street where you visit some of the old distillery sites and take in the new wave of whiskey producers in the area. Your stops include 3 true Dublin pub gems where you will enjoy 3 local whiskeys, 2 local beers as well as a famous John Fallons toastie.
The finish point is the city centre and the walk takes approximately 2 hours. A really great whiskey experience no matter where you are on the whiskey journey!
Irish Coffee Masterclass
With this whiskey experience you will join your Irish Coffee expert to learn the secrets of making the perfect Irish Coffee. During your masterclass, you will craft your own Irish coffee under the watchful eye of your host. By the end you will leave as your very own Irish coffee expert taking away hints and tips to make sure you know how to make the world’s most popular Irish whiskey cocktail. The history and origin of the drink will also be expertly narrated by the host.
Directly after this you will also be guided through the very first Irish whiskey used in the recipe from 1943, Powers gold label premium Irish whiskey and a sample of Powers Three Swallow single pot still whiskey. Finally, you can relax and take in the warmth of an Irish traditional pub while sipping on your creation and enjoying the accompanying local shortbread.
The experience takes 1 hour and takes place in The Whiskey Palace, the first floor private bar in the iconic Place bar on Fleet street.
