“Two Pups by day, Notions by night” – the latest opening from beloved D8 coffee experts, Two Pups, is a natural wine bar called Notions. The wine bar follows on from their recent launch of Bold Boy bakery (next door to Two Pups on Francis Street).
Notions announced its soft launch this past weekend and will officially open on Thursday 3rd April. Two Pups coffee will transform into a cosy wine bar serving vino and nibbles from 5pm every Thursday – Sunday.
There’s 12 wines available by the glass as of now, with the wine list divided into sections such as ‘go to’, ‘treat yourself’, ‘spoil yourself’ and ‘funky’
Snacks include sourdough with a wild garlic pesto and ricotta; polenta chips with truffle aioli; ham hock croquettes with mustard aioli and smoked Gubbeen. The menus are subject to change, with the Notions team telling TheTaste that “they are trying everything out” for the initial launch.
With such a stellar background from the Two Pups brand you can be sure that any changes or new additions will go down a treat.

While it’s only the Francis St location that has announced its evening wine bar news, Two Pups replied to a comment asking whether their Fairview location will also be turning into a wine bar by night with “not yet’. Here’s hoping Notions 2.0 comes to the Northside soon…
