Adding to the ever-growing reasons of why Stoneybatter is one of the best food neighbourhoods in Dublin, Vada, Stoneybatter’s low-key, sustainability-led food spot, will begin serving dinner every Friday and Saturday night from 5pm.
Vada has already earned a loyal daytime following for its brunches, seasonal plates and zero-waste ethos. Now, it’s adding dinner to the mix from Friday 25th July with a menu that balances thoughtful sourcing with seriously good food, all served in its “signature unfussy style”.
Evening plates include:

- Thai pickled mussels with Oir Tonics granita and coconut curry gazpacho
- Karaage chicken with butter masala, chaat & house piccalilli
- Hake with fagioli all’uccelletto, heirloom tomato & lemon aioli
- Higgins flank steak with ezme & zhoug béarnaise
- Chickpea & walnut polpette with cavolo nero and ajoblanco
With a wine list to match the food in spirit and spritzes spiked with house-made kefir, dinner at Vada is designed to feel easy, personal, and rooted in the moment.
Expect snacks to start, small and large plates that lean into the seasons, and desserts like blueberry cheesecake with beet ganache, or Cnoc Liatroma with hazelnut caramel and house crackers.
“We wanted to create a space that feels like it belongs to the neighbourhood,” says founder Sarah Boland. “Dinner at Vada is a natural extension for us, it’s about bringing people together in a casual setting with gorgeous seasonal & local produce.”
With Ballymaloe-trained Boland at the helm and former Kai chef Hannah O’Donnell in the kitchen, you know you’re in good hands here.
