With a bottle of the new vintage of Whispering Angel Rosé, Chateau D’Esclans hopes to help elevate every occasion this summer season. Whether it’s a relaxed sunny lunch, a captivating sunset aperitif, or a lively festive celebration, let the Rosé Renaissance continue with each sip of the 2023 release.
The new vintage is characterised by great roundness, making for a friendly and charming wine with a very nice aroma on the nose that lingers on the palate. This aromatic wine is nuanced, with notes of ripe citrus and red fruits, making this a truly delightful vintage of the iconic rosé.
Today’s worldwide reference for Provence rosé, Whispering Angel is crafted from a variety of Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle (Vermentino) grapes, grown on 10 to 12 year old vines from some of the most choice land with clay and gravel soils in the surrounding region of La Motte En Provence.
Harvesting takes place from sunrise to noon and the grapes which are used to make Whispering Angel are sorted optically. Fermented and aged in stainless steel with temperature control, this rosé’s rewarding taste profile is full and lush, with a bone dry and smooth finish.
Whispering Angel is extremely versatile and for those who wish to enjoy a glass with food, it beautifully compliments Mediterranean cuisine, charcuterie, and Middle Eastern or Asian cuisine such as Thai, Vietnamese or sushi.
