Ibile Brings West African Flavour to Scorchio End of Summer Party

After a whirlwind summer that saw them win over food lovers at The Fidelity Bar pop-up and serve up serious heat at The Big Grill Festival, the team at Ibile are back — and this time, they’re setting up shop at Scorchio HQ in Dublin 12.

This Saturday 23rd August, you can book seating slots between 1pm and 8pm to experience Ibile’s vibrant West African flavours in a new setting. Limited bar seats will be available for walk-ins, so if you missed them at their last events, now’s your chance to grab a stool, a plate, and a glass.

More Than Food – It’s Culture

Ibile isn’t just about cooking great food; it’s about changing perceptions of West African cuisine. Every pop-up is an invitation to experience heritage, culture, and community through the universal language of food.

As they put it:

“Every time you choose IBILE, you’re helping us change the way people view West African cuisine. It’s more than food—it’s culture, heritage, and community, and we’re so proud to share that with you.”

What’s Cooking

Expect a menu inspired by their much-loved festival dishes, along with new bites designed for sharing and pairing.

Some of the standouts include:

  • Seafood Àkàrà – Black-eyed bean fritters topped with prawn, avocado, and a rich Nigerian bisque. A perfect marriage of street-food soul and fine-dining finesse.
  • Beef Suya – Charcoal-grilled flank steak dusted in suya spice, served with fried plantain, jollof rice, and Naija stew. Smoky, spicy, and full of depth.

And that’s just the beginning. Each ticket comes with a special bonus: two side plate dishes from the BBQ menu, making this a feast worth clearing your diary for.

Expect Perfect Wine Pairings

To elevate the experience even further, Hi Spirit Wine Club will be on hand with thoughtful pairings. Expect crisp whites to complement spice, and juicy reds to stand up to charcoal-grilled meat — proving once again that wine and West African food are a match made in flavour heaven.
