Hendricks’s Gin partners with The River Lee to bring the unusual to Cork – ‘To The Moon’ at The River Club is a new immersive terrace in the heart of the city

Hendrick’s Gin is partnering with luxury hotel The River Lee to offer a most unusual experience to the people of Cork. The first experiential activation by Hendrick’s Gin since 2019, ‘To The Moon’ at The River Club transforms the hotel’s terrace into an immersive celebration of humankind’s long fascination with sky travel, the cosmos and aeronautical endeavours.

‘To The Moon’ at The River Club was conceived in partnership with Hendrick’s Lunar Gin, the latest limited release gin in the Cabinet of Curiosity range from Master Distiller Lesley Gracie. This Delectably Cosmic Gin with deeply floral and richly aromatic tones was imagined under the influence of the celestial light of the Moon, and is best suited to night-sipping & moonbathing on this stylish nocturnal terrace.

Influenced by the opulent style of the early 20th century and the birth of commercial air travel, the terrace features vintage hot air balloons, model airplanes, antique stargazing tools exotic birds in flight and the focal point – a stunning living cloud made from pampas grass and baby’s-breath, created in partnership with Cork’s Fox Flowers.

Speaking on the partnership, Rebecca Savage, Brand Manager at Richmond Marketing said:

“We’re delighted to partner with the River Lee in creating a sky-high experience that truly elevates the senses. Those who pursue the peculiar will be met with an unforgettable affair that’s enchanting for the eyes, ears and taste buds. We’re excited to invite the curious to escape the conventional and embrace the delectable – right in the heart of Cork.”

A donation of €1 from each cocktail sold on the ‘To The Moon’ at The River Club Terrace will go to Blackrock Castle Observatory and Dark Skies Cork. Blackrock Castle Observatory is currently working with Dark Skies Europe to raise awareness of light pollution and its effect on nocturnal biodiversity and pollinators, bringing this worthwhile initiative to wider attention, as well as helping create a greater understanding of our awe-inspiring skies and the cosmos.

‘To The Moon’ at The River Club is open to starry-eyed guests now and runs throughout the autumn and winter season at The River Lee until February 2022.
