Enticing Irish Eggs to Crack into this Easter

Easter Sunday falls on April 4th and in the spirit of all self respecting chocoholics I have been busy searching Instagram for the most swoon worthy creations. We have so many wonderful Irish Chocolatiers, here are just some of them to feast your eyes on.

Grá Chocolates

Grá Chocolates founded by award wining Pastry Chef Gráinne Mullins, are fast becoming a staple gift for all occasions with many Irish food lovers. The Easter collection is as stunning as all of the glorious creations we have come to expect from Grá.

Grá Chocolates have haunted my own dreams since seeing an Instagram story where chunks of aerated mint chocolate lined the inside of a thick milk chocolate shell (insert heart eyes here). With five fabulous flavours to choose from, these artful eggs are the ultimate chocolate temptation.

Braw

Limerick-based artisan Chocolatier, Brawhas just launched a distinctive limited edition range of luxurious handcrafted Easter eggs which are now available to pre-order online and will also be stocked in a number of leading independent food stores nationally in the coming weeks.

Chocolate lovers have two utterly indulgent and eye-catching options to choose from; The first is a hand painted vegan friendly and gluten free Valrhona ‘Manjari’ Madagascan Dark Chocolate Egg studded with Crushed Pistachios, which contains a sweet pistachio surprise. The chocolate has tones of red fruits and is slightly acidic in nature with the lower dark chocolate percentage allowing for it to be rich and luxurious, without being overpowering. The second is a Luker ’Noche’ Milk Chocolate Egg created using sustainably produced pure 40% Columbian cacao with pleasant milky notes and a defined cocoa flavour, studded with an outer layer of Crumbled Salted Caramel pieces (made using Achill Island Sea Salt) and containing a salted caramel treat inside.

Founder & Chocolatier, Anna Coffey Lynch, will be releasing limited numbers of both eggs for pre-order online at www.braw.ie (for local collection and delivery to Co. Limerick & Co. Clare only) and they will also be available to purchase from a network of stockists nationally – a full list of these is available on Braw’s website. The cost per egg is €25.00 plus a charge of €5.00 for postage and packaging (where appropriate).

NearyNógs

Described as; “A bright, floral chocolate with notes of creamy honey, spices & red fruit.” These eggs are dairy free, gluten free and vegan.
