This October, Ireland will once again celebrate the richness and diversity of Spanish gastronomy with Eat Spain Drink Spain, a campaign that brings together restaurants, wine bars, and shops across the country to showcase the very best of Spain’s food and wine culture.

From wine dinners and tastings to cultural events and interactive activities, food and wine lovers will have the chance to discover the flavours of Spain without leaving Ireland.

2025 Programme Highlights:

• 26th September – Lanzarote Volcanic Tasting at The Corkscrew, led by Spanish Certified Wine Educator Sinéad Smyth, paired with a fine selection of cheeses.
• 1st October – An Evening of Spanish Art, Design & Gastronomy at Instituto Cervantes, with food writer Blanca Valencia pairing Spanish wines and ibéricos with Spanish art and iconic food design.
• 3rd October- Sarah and Olive presents Ella’s Vegan Plate for an evening of extra virgin olive oil tasting followed by a vegan food pairing supper at The Lovely Food Company, Drumcondra
• 4th October – Fallon & Byrne Iberian Ham Experience, with Fidel Antón from Iberian Ham Sensations showcasing a full leg of 100% pure-breed Jamón Ibérico de Bellota.
• 8th October – The Ultimate Eat Spain Drink Spain Quiz at Urban Brewing, hosted by wine and food experts Sinéad Smyth and Blanca Valencia, with Spanish beer, wine, cheeses, and cured meats. Sponsored by Estrella de Galicia, Taste of Sol, and Marqués de Cáceres.
• 8th October – Ham carving experience, Tapas & Wine Pairing at Coopers, Clontarf, with Verafoods and Fidel Anton from Iberian Ham Sensations.
• 9th October– Sarah and Olive presents The Hungry Fisherman, Sebastian Skelligs for an evening of extra virgin olive oil tasting followed by a food pairing fish supper at SC Grocer, Monkstown
• 9th October – An Evening with Sharon Noonan & Leslie Williams at The Mustard Seed in Limerick, pairing Spanish wines with a bespoke menu by Chef Angel Pirev.
• 10th October – Spanish Wine Tasting at Bewley’s Café, with Sevgi Tüzel of A Wine Idea and Boyle’s Kildare Wine & Food Pairing, a special evening of Spanish wines and matching dishes.
• 14th October – Monty’s Wine Dinner, with a Nepalese-Spanish fusion menu paired with wines from across Spain.
• 16th October – Spanish Wine Dinner at Anantara The Marker, with Chef Gareth Mullins and exceptional Spanish wines from Findlater, hosted by Sinéad McCarthy (Fíon Eile).
• 18th October – Rioja Wine Festival with WineOnline.ie.
• Date to be confirmed – Seafood and Spanish wine tasting at Sea Shanty in Blackrock, with six exclusive wines paired with fish and seafood dishes

During Eat Spain Drink Spain, some of Ireland’s most renowned wine shops and retailers will celebrate Spanish gastronomy with exclusive discounts, in-store promotions, and guided tastings.

Shoppers will have the opportunity to discover a wide range of Spanish wines — from Rioja and Rías Baixas to Jerez, Cava, Rueda and others— alongside gourmet Spanish products such as olive oil, cheeses, ibéricos , canned fish, olives, nuts, sauces, etc.

Participating venues include among others: Fallon & Byrne Wine Cellar, Celtic Whiskey Shop, Margadh D2, McHughs, Searsons, Molloy’s, Lotts, Fíon Eile, Daruma, Boyle’s Kildare, Coopers Clontarf, Boyles Kildare and The Wine Buff Rathmines.

Alongside the retail promotions, some of Ireland’s best-loved restaurants, cafés, and bars will be offering Spanish-inspired tapas, curated menus, and wine pairings throughout October. Diners will be able to enjoy authentic Spanish flavours paired with exceptional wines, bringing a true taste of Spain to tables across Ireland.

Participating venues include among others: Sea Shanty in Blackrock Cellar, The Port House, Cellar 22, Table 45, Daruma and No.1 Pery Square in Limerick.
