Dubai’s Viral Chocolate Inspires New Creations by Irish Chocolatiers

The viral Dubai chocolate craze has come to Ireland, with not one but two incredible Irish chocolatiers launching their own versions this month.

First originating at Fix Dessert Chocolatier in Dubai, this delicious creation is the brainchild of Sarah Hamouda, who launched the dessert in 2021.

The chocolate, originally named “Can’t Get Knafeh of It,” is made a milk chocolate shell filled with a creamy pistachio centre and finely chopped kadayif (also known as kunafa), a traditional Middle Eastern shredded filo pastry.

Bon Chocolatiers has a classic bar version that’s handmade with pistachios and shredded filo

How good does this look?!

Grá Chocolates has launched a heart-shaped milk chocolate shell: Emerald Dream

It’s filled with creamy pistachio paste and crunchy, crispy filo pieces.

The Bon Chocolatiers Dubai chocolate bar is available in Fallon & Byrne and their website for €7 (the bar is 52grams), and the Grá Chocolates Emerald Dream is available online – but note it’s on back order due to demand – for €35 for 200grams.
