A New, Modern Fine-Dining Restaurant with Quality Wines & Cocktails, and Thoughtful Hospitality, Located in the Heart of Dublin
A new modern fine-dining restaurant located in Dublin’s city centre on the ground floor of the historic D’Olier Chambers building, will open in December. The restaurant will be a sister restaurant to Parnell Square’s Mr. Fox, a Michelin-recommended mainstay in Dublin’s dining scene.
The team behind the project is James Moore, former head chef of the two-Michelin starred restaurant Atera, and Jane Frye, who have relocated from New York City to embark on the new venture with chef and owner of Mr. Fox, Dublin native Anthony Smith. Executive pastry chef Mina Pizarro, winner of the North America Valrhona C3 Chocolate Chef Competition, will also be joining the team to lead the bread and pastry program.
The menu will feature a set offering of contemporary dishes that change seasonally, and are heavily influenced by Moore’s time cooking in cities around the globe including Melbourne, London, Vancouver, New York, and Dublin, where he and Smith worked together at One Pico in the early 2000s. A first-class wine pairing will be available, as well as an array of innovative non-alcoholic cocktails.
Renovation of the iconic 19th-century listed building in Dublin 2 is being handled by bespoke design specialist, Pure Fitout. The dining room will feature modern touches such as chef’s counter seating, where guests will have the chance to get up close and personal with the kitchen, and a minimalist design, while honouring the historic character of the building by preserving many original details such as the hand-crafted cornice and one-of-a-kind architraves. Original artwork from local artist Chanelle Walshe, winner of the Arts Council’s 2022 Next Generation Award, will be featured throughout the space.
