This Saturday, you can enjoy a festive day of Mexican culture, food, and community to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with some of the best local Mexican businesses in Dublin.

The Cinco de Mayo fiesta will take place at Spade Enterprise Center, Dublin 7, on Saturday 3rd May from 11am-4pm. Expect delicious eats, colourful crafts, and fun-filled workshops – sounds like the perfect day out to us.

There will be live cooking demos, a tortilla making workshop, tacos, homemade salsas, Mexican crafts and more

El Milagro -one of the most authentic places for Mexican food in Dublin – will be serving freshly made tacos all day, with a choice of fillings including the crowd-favourite birria tacos. Balam Tortilleria will have fresh, handmade corn tortillas for you to take home, there will be delicious homemade salsas from Garnacha and you can even shop for Mexican snacks and sweets from Musho Picoso.

A highlight of the event is the tortilla and sopes workshop from La Fondita Mestiza, which costs €50 and must be pre-booked here.

In this workshop, participants will have the tools to create tortillas and sopes (traditional corn dishes), starting with the raw material – corn flour. They will also give essential tips for the creation of tortillas and other dishes that you can make at home.

They will also provide tips on where to get corn flour, how to differentiate the different brands and most importantly, towards the end of the workshop, you will eat some dishes accompanied by their complements such as hot sauces.
