Guests can enjoy the newly redesigned swimming pool and relaxation spaces and state-of-the-art gym, now equipped with the latest Matrix strength, cardio, and conditioning equipment. In addition to the Elemis menu of treatments, the beauty treatment suites have introduced a selection of therapies from luxury Irish beauty brand, Ground Wellness, for a truly Irish therapeutic experience.
Culinary
Newly appointed Executive Head Chef Cormac McCreary has introduced a modern grill menu to the Michelin Plate and two AA Rosette awarded, The Hound Restaurant in the five-star Hunters Yard Hotel. The speciality steak menu, cooked on the new Montague Grill, is complemented by the selection of contemporary European dishes and sweet desserts, all paired with local craft beers and New-World wines for a relaxed, fine-dining experience. Working with Metalman Brewery in Waterford City, Chef Cormac has developed a craft beer, Moongate Citrus Wheat Beer exclusively for The Hound Restaurant.
Equestrian
The renowned Mount Juliet Estate Equestrian Centre has been fully refurbished offering our guests a grand-prix level facility, and our equine residents a five-star stable experience! With a bespoke essential oil scent permeating the air to relax the horses in their newly revamped stable accommodation, guests can look forward to a very special equestrian experience. Whether they follow the trail of Lady McCalmont beside the River Nore, or take a show-jumping lesson, there is an activity to suit, with our highly qualified instructors, whether a novice or experienced rider.
Golf
2021 saw Mount Juliet Estate host the hugely successful Dubai Duty Free Irish Open. Dubbed ‘the homecoming’, the tournament saw Ireland’s leading golfers Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Padraig Harrington and Graeme McDowell compete for the home title. Now guests can enjoy the Jack Nicklaus signature design course and put their skills to the test on the Irish Open course. The newly redesigned Mount Juliet Estate Golf Academy offers personal training with Trackman and Skytrack simulators and a custom club fitting service with one of our PGA professionals.
