One of Belgium’s top bars is taking over Killarney’s cocktail hotspot Pig’s Lane, for one night only on Friday, 8th August.
Hailing from Rue des Brasseurs, Botanical by Alfonse is internationally acclaimed, receiving the prestigious title of Cocktail Bar of the Year from Gault & Millau, just months after opening. They’ve also been listed among only five Belgian bars in the World’s 50 Best Discoveries.
Founded by the dynamic duo Charlotte Guilliams and Valentin Norberg, who began slinging drinks from a converted caravan, Botanical is now one of Europe’s most celebrated cocktail havens, renowned for its botanical creativity, hyper-seasonal cocktails, and hidden R&D lab beneath the bar, dedicated to cutting-edge mixology.
As the name suggests, the cocktail menu is governed by an exploration of herbs and other botanicals, rotating monthly to capture peak seasonality and the mood of its makers.
Expect one-off creations with locally inspired Irish twists
You can also look forward to signature cocktails crafted by Charlotte and Valentin, for a vibe-rich night full of Belgian soul and botanical flair.

Botanical by Alfonse, created by husband-and-wife team Charlotte Guilliams and Valentin Norberg, said:
